Pool Route: How much should you spend?

Pool Route: How much should you spend?

An issue for many people entering the pool service and repair industry is price. You want to buy a pool route, but you’re having a hard time figuring out how it’s being priced. What I try to explain over and over again is the price you actually pay for a route may not be the price you believe you are paying. Trying to purchase a route for a few dollars below industry averages can, and usually does end up costing you much more in the long run.
If a seller is selling under market price, there is a reason. You cannot know the real reason, even if the seller provides you with a convincing story. Don’t look for price; because in most cases, after you purchase, you will be struggling to find income. Look for quality. Look for good training and backup. Look for mentoring from an industry expert. This is the right way to start out in your new venture.
If the price is fair and you try to haggle for a better price, the seller will usually take something away and that something could be the difference between just making a living or building a future for your family.
The best course of action has always been: find a good route, pay the right price, get the proper warranties and training necessary for success. Finding the right route and paying the right price can be the difference between earning hundreds of thousands of dollars more over your lifetime or leaving hundreds of thousands of dollars in someone else’s pocket. If you are one of those individuals always looking for a deal, you just might run into a gambler, do you really want to gamble with your future?
